I have always found advertisements from the 1950′s fascinating. Its ironic to me how what was considered perfectly acceptable back in the 1950′s would very likely offend a large portion of society today.
While what is considers acceptable today would shock a member of 1950′s society into catatonia. Take this vintage advertisement for example:
Compare that with this LavAzza Italian coffee ad. Spicy. Hot. And not half as likely to cause the kind of reaction that the ad above might receive. Pretty interesting to consider when you get down to it.
