My parents always bought it, we hated it. I suspect that is exactly why they liked coffee ice cream so much. Today I offer you a little tip on how you can make your own coffee ice cream. The trick here is moderation, find out how much you like first before you get too crazy.
Like me, you might have wondered if you would ever find a use for that ultra fine grind setting on your burr grinder. Turkish coffee has never really interested me, and after a certain level beans ground too fine won’t work for espresso.
The idea is devilishly simple — Grind some coffee of your choice at the finest setting. The result will be a powder-like grind. Very fine, and very useful as an additive to your favorite ice cream or frozen yogurt.
Sprinkle some on top for a more concentrated coffee taste or mix it in for more infused coffee ice cream taste. The great thing is that you can use different flavored beans to give change the overall effect. Give it a try, you just might find you enjoy it!
