AeroPress

Let me sum up my experience with the Aerobie AeroPress this way; after a week of using the AeroPress, I made a pot of coffee in my auto drop coffee pot and it was putrid compared to the previous week’s coffee made with the AeroPress.

I couldn’t believe the difference in the taste. The Aeropress made a better, stronger, and smoother cup of coffee. You might not think so by looking at it, but it beats out all other forms of coffee making, including driving to Starbucks.

I don’t pretend to know all about coffee, but I have been drinking it (always black, no foofy drinks for me) for about 20 years, and I know what I like and what makes a good cup of coffee. The AeroPress is a quick and easy way to make a great cup of coffee. All you have to do is put a filter on the unit, put in the ground coffee, stir in the water and press the water through the beans. You’re left with a concentrated coffee that can be diluted with water for a regular cup of coffee.

The whole process is similar to a French press, except the AeroPress pushes the water through the coffee and filter, instead of pushing the grounds through water. One great advantage over the French press is that the filter of the AeroPress leaves NO sludge in your cup, like you get with a French press.

The AeroPress is an inexpensive, sturdy piece of kitchen hardware that you shouldn’t be without, if you enjoy coffee. You should get one for the price alone. At least if you don’t like it, which I don’t see happening, you didn’t waste much money. Thanks to Aerobie, Inc. for giving me the opportunity to review this awesome product.

  1. Excellent review! However, what you call “sludge”, we French Press lovers call “stuff that puts hair on your chest”.

And you call us foofy! LOL. Thanks for the review!

  2. Aero Press sounds great! Where can I get one?

  3. Locals Only Coffee seems to have a pretty good deal on this. unit comes with 350 filters and you can get another 350 for just $2.00 more.

Let us know what you think of it if you do decide to get it. Thanks for the comment!

  4. I am on my 30+ cup of coffee made with the AeroPress. When I reach 1000 I will consider myself a Barista. This coffee maker opens up opportunities for making coffee like no other coffee maker I know of. Oh and making a cup of coffee in the desert just became a lot easier.

  5. Rich,
