My latte art attempts to date have been sad and embarrassing — coffee is for drinking I would tell myself, but deep down inside I knew there was a Picasso just waiting to emerge and create a masterpiece in my latte.
While surfing tonight I ran across an excellent article – Become a Latte Magician on The Espresso Guide web page. The great thing about this article is that it has step by step instructions with illustrations on how to make many of the popular latte art images! With any luck I too could become a fancy barista, now if I could just get my wife to pay me $5 for a vanilla latte.

you could always moonlight at starbucks and learn some barista skills, then your wife could go there and you could pay 5 dollars for her latte from the 5.50 you earned working that hour!

LOL. Well this morning I tried my first attempt at latte art, it was a complete failure. Maybe trying it at 6AM wasn’t the best time to try :=) I’ll be giving it another shot that is for sure!
