We stumbled across a unique site today that features the coffee watercolor artwork of Andrew Saur and Angel Sarkela-Saur. Andrew and Angel start with a sketch and then brew up a pot of thick, dark coffee. Water is added as needed to produce the subtle sepia tones required for the watercolor creation.
We highly encourage our readers to take a look at the Just Coffee Art website when you have a chance. Original works are available for purchase, and for the budget conscious there are highly affordable 5″x7″ print available for ten dollars. Our personal favorite is Coffee Mosaic.
Amazing stuff. Have you seen the latte art on flickr? I wish I could recall the URL right now, but if you want it I could get it for you. It combines two passions of mine: coffee and art. Irresistable.
